Kayaking

Kayaking is the ultimate metaphor for life. You get as much out of it as you put into it. The harder you work the faster you arrive at your destination. If you stop concentrating you can float off into places you don’t want to be, and from which can be hard to extract yourself. The journey is more important than the desitnation. Furthermore, you need to be acutely aware of the environment you are entering or you may be setting yourself up for failure.

We run 2 types of paddle trip:

Social paddles: an excuse to get a unique aspect of nature, or Melbourne, while getting some gentle exercise and enjoying other’s company.

Hero’s Journey: This is the ultimate in team building, exercise, and problem solving. It is catered to a level that everyone can participate, regardless of capacity. However, it needs a high level of collaboration with team mates. It requires participants to paddle from location to location, disembarking at each to undertake a team challenge. This was designed by an ex-special forces soldier to develop teamwork, enhance resilience and develops problem solving skills under pressure.
